About

Born and raised in Prince George's County, MD, Richard T. Fields discovered his passion for storytelling at an early age. After earning his B.S. in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park, he decided to pursue his creative interests through American University's MFA in Film & Electronic Media program where he would be selected as commencement speaker for his graduating class.

Shortly after his graduation, Richard would go on to win the American Black Film Festival’s first ever “McDonald’s Lovin Video Competition,” for which his short film “Puppy Love,” would be featured online as a McDonald’s national ad campaign. Since then, his work has been featured both domestically and internationally as he would go on to produce projects for networks such as HBO Max, Showtime, and Discovery Plus.

Richard continues to use his rare blend of creative and analytical thinking to develop projects with his production company, Twin Voyage Productions. He also works as a freelance director and cinematographer for commercials and music videos nationwide.
